●  High-accuracy measurement: Straightness of 2 μm or less is achieved with 3-m straight-edge rulers. The straightness of 3m-long, metal or stone straight-edge rulers is 7 to 14 μm but that of ceramic straight-edge rulers is 2 μm or less, thus enabling high-accuracy measurement. ●  Lightweight and easy to measure and carry around This 3m-long ceramic straight-edge ruler is about half (about 50 kg) the weight of metal straight-edge rulers, thus enabling people to carry it around and achieving easy measurement. ●  Little change with time Ceramic straight-edge rulers provide high hardness and outstanding abrasion resistance. Furthermore, they have a small coefficient of thermal expansion, which results in small deformation caused by temperature changes and makes them less susceptible to environmental influences during measurement. We use various techniques during this process: ●  Optical measurements with autocollimators ●  Laser interferometers and laser trackers ●  Electronic inclination levels (precision spirit levels) 1.
